In Afghanistan, women and girls have faced some of the world’s most severe restrictions on education, work, and public life, leaving many voices unheard and opportunities taken away. This context shaped the message behind this project and its focus on solidarity, visibility, and support.
“Send your strength to her” is an interactive platform that supports and empowers Afghan women from afar through social media and app-based connections. It links the international community with women’s organizations, media, and newsrooms supporting women in Afghanistan, while organising and livestreaming virtual protests in major cities also shown in Kabul to raise awareness of ongoing injustice. Users can send letters, donate, share protest updates, and watch live virtual demonstrations in Afghanistan and worldwide.
